Sweating: what is considered normal and what is pathology
There are about 4 million sweat glands in the human body. Moreover, women have more of them than men. But it is precisely in the representatives of the stronger sex that the sweat glands function more actively. Their work is controlled by the symptomatic nervous system. The glands secrete sweat, which is a transparent liquid, which includes salts, water, proteins, lipids.

Why does a person sweat? The main function of perspiration is to ensure thermoregulation of the body. So, under the influence of intense heat, the human body begins to heat up. In order not to provoke overheating, the brain immediately demands to cool the body and sends a signal to the sweat glands. Sweat begins to stand out. Evaporating from the surface of the skin, it provides a decrease in body temperature.

Approximately 1% of the population has severe sweating, the reasons for which are hidden in the hyperfunction of the sweat glands.

The main symptom of hyperhidrosis is the appearance of sweat, which causes discomfort in a person. Sweating is accompanied by an unpleasant, pungent odor. Sometimes pathology is associated with a sudden deterioration in health.

At night, natural sweating usually disappears. A person is not nervous and practically does not move. But if we are talking about hyperhidrosis, then unpleasant symptoms at night can intensify.
